The .ARPA domain extension is The .arpa domain (Address and Routing Parameter Area) is an infrastructure top-level domain (iTLD) used exclusively for internet-infrastructure purposes. Administered by IANA in cooperation with the IAB, it contains critical routing records including reverse DNS lookup zones (in-addr.arpa and ip6.arpa) and URI resolution databases. It requires a minimum label length of 2 characters and supports up to 63 characters. It does not support IDN characters, meaning only standard English characters are allowed. Registration is completely open and unrestricted globally to individuals and organizations.
