The .FJ domain extension is The country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Fiji. Introduced in 1992, it is administered and operated by The University of the South Pacific (USP). Direct registrations under the top-level .fj extension are generally not permitted or offered; instead, registrations are restricted to third-level domains under designated second-level categories. Because the registry does not provide a standard public WHOIS or RDAP server, status verification is performed using DNS validation fallback analysis (NS query/NXDOMAIN detection). It requires a minimum label length of 2 characters and supports up to 63 characters. It does not support IDN characters, meaning only standard English characters are allowed. Registration is completely open and unrestricted globally to individuals and organizations.
