The .COM.TR domain extension is The most widely used second-level domain under Turkey's .tr ccTLD, originally intended for commercial entities. From 1990 until 2022, it was administered by METU (Middle East Technical University) and required trademark documentation or a trade registry certificate for registration. Following the transfer of authority to TRABIS (BTK — Information and Communication Technologies Authority) in 2022, the extension transitioned to an unrestricted first-come-first-served (FCFS) model, allowing anyone to register without documentation.
