Reverse DNS Lookup

Perform a quick Reverse DNS PTR lookup to determine the official system hostname and ISP carrier mapped to any IP address.

What is Reverse DNS?

While standard forward DNS maps domain names to IP addresses (A/AAAA records), Reverse DNS does the exact opposite: it resolves an IP address back to its associated domain name using Pointer (PTR) records.

Why PTR Records Matter?

PTR records are vital for email servers. Mail providers verify that the reverse DNS host of a sending IP matches the sending domain name. Missing or mismatching PTR records will cause emails to be blocked or marked as spam.
