Privacy Policy
This policy governs how data is handled and protected across the dnsblu.com web platform, DNSBLU iOS and Android mobile applications (Bundle ID: com.dnsblu), and REST API services.
Zero PII Collected
No names, emails, phone numbers, or passwords. No account registration or login required.
Anonymous Device ID
Used solely for session security and abuse prevention. Never linked to real-world identities.
No GPS Tracking
Hardware GPS is never accessed. Displayed geolocation is solely the public registry data of queried IPs.
Minimal Permissions
Only essential network permissions. Search history is stored locally and fully clearable.
1 Scope & Publisher Identification
DNSBLU is a specialized network diagnostics and domain intelligence platform providing tools for DNS, WHOIS, IP intelligence, SSL/TLS certificates, and cybersecurity auditing.
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- Web Services: The platform accessible at https://www.dnsblu.com and its subdomains.
- Mobile Applications: The native iOS and Android mobile applications distributed globally under Bundle / Package ID com.dnsblu.
- Programmatic API: The RESTful API endpoints hosted at https://www.dnsblu.com/api/v1.
DNSBLU is developed and published by Arvenel (https://www.arvenel.com). All operations and services are governed under Arvenel.
2 Zero PII Policy (No Personally Identifiable Information)
DNSBLU operates with a strict Privacy-by-Design standard:
- We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or national identification numbers from general users.
- No account creation, password setup, or social identity integration (e.g., Google, Apple, Facebook) is required to access tools.
- We do not request, process, or store financial credentials or credit card numbers.
3 Device Security & Anonymous Device Identifier
To safeguard our services against abuse (DDoS attacks, automated scraping, API spamming), maintain session integrity, and associate in-app virtual credit balances, an anonymous, pseudonymous device identifier (Anonymous Device ID) is generated within the device's secure local storage.
- This identifier is an abstract cryptographic token that cannot be linked to any real-world person, phone number, SIM card, or personal identity.
- It is used strictly for session security and quota validation, and is never shared with third parties.
4 Location Data Policy (No GPS Tracking)
DNSBLU never accesses the user's physical device location:
- The application does not access hardware GPS/GNSS receivers, cellular towers, or Wi-Fi location services.
- Any country, city, or coordinate data displayed in the interface represents solely the public registry records of the queried target IP address or server, not the user's location.
5 Minimal Device Permissions
DNSBLU requests only the minimum technical permissions necessary for networking:
- Internet Access: Required to execute DNS queries, WHOIS lookups, and secure API requests.
- Network State: Used to detect offline state and prevent failed network calls.
- Prohibited Permissions: Camera, microphone, contacts, photos, biometric data, file system, and GPS are never accessed or requested.
6 Diagnostic Modules
Submitted telemetry is processed solely to generate diagnostic results:
- DNS & Propagation: Resolves DNS records across global resolvers.
- WHOIS Lookup: Retrieves public registrar details and domain expiry dates.
- SSL / TLS Analysis: Decodes HTTPS certificate validity and trust chains.
- IP Intelligence: Checks autonomous systems (ASN), ISP, and public location.
- Ping & Traceroute: Measures network packet latency and route hops.
- Email Security: Audits SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MX records for deliverability scoring.
- Blacklists & Threat Intelligence: Checks domain and IP reputation against public threat feeds.
7 Local Storage & Search History
- Local Search History: Query history is stored strictly on the user's local device. DNSBLU servers do not build user search profiles.
- One-Tap History Wipe: Users can tap "Clear Search History" in the settings to permanently remove all local search records.
- Preferences: Theme and language preferences are stored locally on the device (or via minimal functional cookies on the web).
8 Advertising & Google AdMob SDK
To support free access and in-app credit rewards, the mobile app integrates Google AdMob SDK:
- Ad formats include App Open, Banner, Interstitial, and optional Rewarded Video ads.
- Google AdMob may process standard advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) under the Google Privacy Policy. Users can manage personalized ads through their device OS settings.
9 Virtual Credit System
In-app credits are digital utility tokens granting temporary query privileges. They hold zero monetary value, cannot be redeemed for fiat currency, are non-refundable, and cannot be transferred or sold.
10 Security Measures
All network communications utilize modern transport encryption (SSL/TLS). Server access logs are maintained temporarily for security and rate limiting purposes, and systems are protected with multi-layered defenses.
11 Your Rights
Users can clear their search history, reset ad identifiers in their OS settings, or uninstall the app to eliminate all locally stored data. No personal profile data is retained on our servers.
12 Children's Privacy
DNSBLU services are intended for technical professionals and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
